How to create vertical trends using Scadapro Server or Client


1) Open Scadapro Server or Client. Enable the Scadapro System.

2) Open the type of channel you want to log & trend from processors or devices. In this example we have chosen Simulated Channels.

3) Double click the Channels of your choice.

4) Make sure the Channels you wan to log & trend are enabled. Click OK.

5) Back in the Channel selection box, make sure your device is enabled. If you were using processors instead of a device then you would select “reconfigure” from the control menu. Close box. Your Channels are now ready to be logged.

 

6) Select Loggers in the main menu and choose a logger

7) From the channels tab click one of the buttons, which are officially called blocks.

8) Select the Channels source and the range of channels within that source i.e. From 1 To 5. Double Clicking on the channel source gives a list of enabled channels

9) You can choose any amount of enabled channels to log by using shift or ctrl for selection. Click Ok. Click Ok in the “Enter log Channel Range” box.

The Channel range now appears in the block you selected earlier. Click save in Logger. Disable and Enable Logger. Your selected Channels are now logging. Close Logger.

 

10) From Replays on the main menu, select trends and configure

11) Select file and click on “select log file”

12) Select latest log file

13) Once the Log file is selected a logger name, file name, start time, stop time appear at the top and a time scale appears at the bottom of the screen.

14) Click the “Options” icon on the trends tool bar or select “edit” in the main menu & click “trend options”.

15) Make sure the Trend Tab is selected. Select “vertical” under “Trend Orientation”. Click OK.

16) The time scale has moved from a horizontal position to a vertical position along the left hand side of the screen.

17) On the trends tool bar click on the “add line” icon or select edit in the main menu & click “add line”.

18) Click on the down arrow underneath “Source” to choose type of Channel you want to trend. Then underneath “Channel” click the down arrow select the exact channel you want to trend. Choose your line color, we have choosen red for this example. Click Add. Repeat these steps to add 3 channels. Then close “Add Line to Trend” Box

19) You have now created a Vertical trend.

20) Trends come with a “Zoom Bar”, which allows you to zoom and pan to areas that are most important to you.

Beginning from left to right These options are specifically used for horizontal trends

  • Pan left
  • Pan right
  • Pan end
  • Zoom left
  • Zoom Centre
  • Zoom Right
  • Zoom up one level
  • Zoom up to top level
  • Select Previous Log
  • Select Next Log

 

These options can used for either horizontal or vertical trend.

  • Zoom Area
  • Zoom to Time

 

These options below are specifically for vertical trends.

  • Pan Back
  • Pan Forward
  • Pan Current
  • Zoom top
  • Zoom Centre
  • Zoom Bottom
  • Zoom up one level
  • Zoom up to top level
  • Select Previous Log file/Table
  • Select Next Log File/ Table This is the trend we created when we zoom in on it.
